Support » Plugin: WP Fastest Cache » Fine, but premium doesn’t work with Docker

  • I’ve used the plugin on other sites, and it worked just fine. It was easy to setup and results were instant. I decided to check out the premium version, works fine on normal WordPress set ups and includes support.

The premium plugin installs very oddly, they force you to do it through the dashboard. A new site I’m using runs on Docker and I decided to try out this plugin again. However, Docker deploys rebuild from a fresh install of WordPress and its plugins, so every time I deploy on all four environments, I would have to re-update the plugin, which is ridiculous. I emailed support to find out if you can force the download of the updated zip, and they repeatedly told me “No, but we can install the plugin for you if you give us your credentials.” Yeah, no. I don’t think so. I’m not so sure they understood, but they didn’t ask for any clarity and lost a customer.

Basically, as long as you are not using Docker containers and/or don’t upgrade to premium, this plugin will do the job.
