 * Hi [@mikeyott](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mikeyott/),
 * Thank you for releasing this plugin. Very useful, indeed. If you don’t mind,
   thought I’d share some suggestions for future releases:
 * (sorry, couldn’t find your contact email address)
 * (1) Change plugin name to “iThemes Security Log Cleaner.” The name change will
   place your plugin beneath iThemes Security listing in WordPress’ Plugins dashboard
   section.
 * (2) Change the WordPress dashboard Tools section name assigned to your plugin
   to “ITSec Log Cleaner” or “iThemes Log Cleaner.” Name change will keep the entry
   down to one line (vs. current two).
 * (3) Your log cleaner lists “Temps.” Can you explain what this does? (see 4 below).
 * (4) In order to be consistent with iThemes Security log name convention (standard
   and pro versions), recommend only listing in your log cleaner the following options:
   All Events, Fatal Errors, Important Events, Lockouts, Notices, Warnings
 * Thanks in advance for your help.
 * Cheers!

 * Responding one at a time…
 * **(1) Change plugin name to “iThemes Security Log Cleaner.” The name change will
   place your plugin beneath iThemes Security listing in WordPress’ Plugins dashboard
   section.**
    That is the natural thinking, but it can get you into legal trouble.
   I have a plugin called **Thumb Fixer for Facebook** which used to be called **
   Facebook Thumbnail Fixer**, until Facebook legal department complained and I
   was forced to change it to the former. They say (and I agree) that having the
   plugin name lead with ‘Facebook’ could imply it was built by Facebook. Anyway,
   with this in mind I made the deliberate choice to name it ‘Log Cleaner for iTheme
   Security’ to avoid the possibility of a similar situation.
 * **(2) Change the WordPress dashboard Tools section name assigned to your plugin
   to “ITSec Log Cleaner” or “iThemes Log Cleaner.” Name change will keep the entry
   down to one line (vs. current two).**
    Not a bad idea.
 * **(3) Your log cleaner lists “Temps.” Can you explain what this does? (see 4
   below).**
    iTheme Security creates a table called **itsec_temp** which stores
   information about brute force attacks, 404s and probably some other things I
   can’t remember right now (you could have a look for yourself in PHPmyAdmin).
   I’m guessing this is meant to be ‘temporary’ data, but in any case it’s not uncommon
   for it to contain thousands of rows of data.
 * **(4) In order to be consistent with iThemes Security log name convention (standard
   and pro versions), recommend only listing in your log cleaner the following options:
   All Events, Fatal Errors, Important Events, Lockouts, Notices, Warnings**
    I’ve
   been thinking about simply linking to the logs page instead.
 * **Thanks in advance for your help.**
    No worries!

 * Thanks [@mikeyott](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mikeyott/)!
 * Your answers make perfect sense. Thanks for the update!
 * For future reference, iThemes may allow you to use the suggested plugin name.
   All it takes is an email request to: [https://ithemes.com/contact/](https://ithemes.com/contact/)
 * Also, if you don’t mind, one last small tweak request: Change “Log cleaner for
   iThemes Security” to “Log Cleaner for iThemes Security” (as shown in WP Dashboard
   Plugins listing, use capital “C” for cleaner). Your call 🙂
 * Cheers!

 * Honestly, I’m not bothered by the naming convention, or if iThemes would be cool
   with me changing it. If you search **ithemes** in WordPress when adding a new
   plugin, my plugin is shown right next to iThemes Security anyway. Can’t get any
   better than that 🙂
