I’ve been using the Subscriptions for WooCommerce plugin for a while now, and overall I’m impressed. The setup process was simple, and I like that it doesn’t require coding skills. The support for recurring billing, flexible cycles, and the integration with Stripe and PayPal makes it a solid solution for subscription-based products.
Here are a few things I’d love clarification or improvement on:
- Free Trials + Sign-Up Fees Together?
Is it possible to offer both a free trial and a sign-up fee at the same time? I’d like to give users a trial period but still charge an upfront setup fee. - Renewal Reminders for Customers?
Are there email reminders or notifications sent to customers before a subscription renews? If not, is this something planned for future updates? - Failed Payment Handling:
What happens when a payment fails?- Does the plugin automatically retry?
- How many attempts are made?
- Can we customize the retry schedule?
- Compatibility with Other Membership Plugins?
Apart from the official Membership for WooCommerce plugin, does this support integration with other popular tools like MemberPress or Paid Memberships Pro? - Upgrade Path to Pro:
If I start with the free version and later move to Pro, will all my settings and subscriptions migrate smoothly without interruption? - Custom Fields or Add-ons for Subscription Products?
Is there a way to add custom fields or options for subscription products (e.g., gift notes, delivery instructions) within the subscription flow?
