I have just installed my first updraftplus (free) and the plugin did the backup with no problem.
Now I realized that the plugin created the folder in my DropBox pro account called Apps/UpdraftPlus. The plugin wrote the backup files there.
Now I have to keep on installing this plugin on 30+ wp websites and I wonder if I could point the plugins to write the backups to dedicated folder for that website?
Is there a function for plugin to do that or can I do it manually?
If not, will the plugin be able to differentiate what file (folder) is from which website?

p.s. thanks for the plugin 🙂

    Hi,

I’m afraid that the free version of UpdraftPlus does not have the capability of creating dedicated sub-folders for each site in Dropbox.

Any sites connected to that Dropbox account will be able to access all backup sets stored there.

However, this feature is available in the UpdraftPlus Premium (paid version) as part of the Dropbox Sub-folders add-on.

For any questions about Premium or the Dropbox Sub-folders add-on, please contact us through our Pre-sales Questions form (As this forum is for the Free version only)

Micah – the site domain will appear in the file name, the file name looks like “backup_2015-12-21-2333_DomainName_xxxxxxxx-uploads”.

I am running it on multiple sites and it’s easy to see where the back ups are, even in one folder.
