    I used the free version for a couple months and then upgraded to Pro - $30 is nomimal for the great features you get. It works well (on my site) and has nice stats. Much better than Bannerize, the other one I tried. The support is fantastic too. Nice to get a reply within less than an hour instead of posting on a forum and hoping/waiting for a useful reply.
    Frankly I probably never would have donated to the free plugin out of pure laziness, but I am more than happy to pay for PRO whatever the reason. I wonder how many people that are taking the time to complain about the free version, took the time to donate.

    I did not experience great support when I was unwittingly used as a beta tester years ago. The author had named a table column for what became a reserve word when MySQL upgrades. The author seemed not understand the problem and became very rude. I had to hack to get his plug into work. Eventually he upgraded MySQL and realized what he had done, but I did not get a word of apology.

    When have you been a beta tester? Ah... Probably never. If you were using a beta version you'd know by a yellow banner all over the dashboard saying "You are using AdRotate Beta 'someversion'. Please provide feedback."

    As for your MySQL problem - I think you have the wrong plugin here. I am not aware of AdRotate using reserved names for columns. I don't know you, I've never seen your name before and have no idea what you're talking about. But feel free to clarify your (dumb) accusations in an email - info@ajdg.net

    Exactly the attitude I got at the time. He's never made a mistake. He now defines the what the "basic plugin" is and what are the pay features, without having made his personal view public while users who thought they were using the basic plugin were testing the now pay features for him. For a long time it was only possible to contact him through web form and forums on his own site - and now it becomes clear that he did want email evidence of his perfidy to be available later.

    My attitude? Did I not just offer you a way to explain yourself and perhaps remedy the situation?
    I see that anything I say or do will be used against me at the discretion of your misguided judgement. Regardless of my intention. Therefor I will not waste my time on you.

    If you want to have a reasonable discussion about me, my work, my intentions or your views on on all of those, you can email me. The review section of a plugin is hardly the place to do so.
    If you do not wish to clarify your issues with my plugin, well... I can not help you.
