Great plugin. Couple more options becomes indispensable

    This is really a great plugin. It has a better selection than most I’ve tried (VK added by default!), it’s super lightweight, and if your theme already loads font-awesome, you save even more resources.

    With a couple more options like opening the share window in a pop-up, counters, and maybe adding even a few more share sites for good measure, I could see this being THE share plugin to use for WordPress. Good work!

    Hi Spyros,

    I was just looking through the font-awesome icon list. Imagine if you had ALL of the available font-awesome social icons! I think you would instantly position yourself as the best plugin to use. (Not that I would use all of them personally, but wow…to have that choice, I think you would be the only share plugin to include them all.)

    I see icons for weibo, soundcloud, vine, renren, flickr, vimeo, instagram among others. It seems you could even use the generic font-awesome ‘share’ icon (fa-share-alt-square) to make something like a user-filled custom field for any icon that FA doesn’t yet have…I’m just thinking out loud now…:)

    Anyway, thanks again and great work. I’m excited to see where you take it.

    Hi @ty

    I have added Renren and Weibo. Those are ready for the next release.
    Also I have made an alpha version that counts the shares.
    Counting on every visit is making the page load speed slow.
    I am thinking of an ajax and caching way of showing the number of shares.
    Maybe in a next version I can develop a statistics page and add stats as a column on the wp-admin posts and pages list (table).

    I was not able to get number of shares for all the social media tho and this a small problem.

    In addition, I can not just add all the icons. Some services eg. vimeo, soundcloud do not have a share url in order to just click and share.

    I will try to make the next release bofore the end of July.

    Ah, I see. That’s probably why none of the other plugins have them either.

    That sounds like a great idea to try. IMO if the counter is slowing down page load it’s not worth the feature. The admin stats feature is a great idea also…
