• Really good plugin. The only thing I feel is missing is some way to integrate other email providers. Currently the list is quite small (Mailchimp, Aweber, etc.).

For example, I am using Sendy (a self hosted email manager) and have no easy way to integrate Leadin with this tool. It would be very helpful if you made a “Other/HTML” option and people could just paste their list form into the space provided. This would solve the problem of the limited number of integrations because people could paste any HTML form and it would then post the form data to the external tool. I realise LeadIn is a free plugin, which limits the amount of development that goes into it, but I know of several other free (or cheap) lead capture options that have this functionality (e.g. SumoMe).

    Keep up the great work!

Hi there, thanks for your review!

There’s a few ways we’re thinking about building these types of integrations, one of them is to build unique integrations for each providers however this is unfortunately quite slow to achieve due to the different implementations for each provider. Once of the ways we’re hoping to address a faster, more blanket coverage of providers is to provide a Zapier integration for Leadin in the future. Is it possible that this would provide the level of functionality you’re looking for? It appears that, with Zapier’s MySQL tools it is possible to connect Sendy to many other apps via Zapier.

Any feedback you can provide is very helpful 🙂

    Thanks,
    Shay

Thanks for the reply, Shay. Yes, Zapier integration would work well as Sendy can receive the contact info from Zapier using Webhooks, as discussed in this blog post – http://agale.weebly.com/a-blog/zapier-and-sendy-they-can-work-together-via-webhooks.

The ability to use this method with Leadin would be great. Any idea when Zapier integration might occur, or any workarounds in the meantime? Thanks.

At the moment I’m afraid we don’t have a concrete timeline around when Zapier will be possible but I can definitely keep you posted as we have news on it. In the meantime I’m afraid there is no current workaround besides manually exporting the contacts from Leadin (as outlined here: http://leadin.hubspot.com/knowledge/how-do-i-export-my-contacts) and importing them into Sendy.

As we have news I’ll keep you posted 🙂
