Great idea, unfortunately currently limited to very basic block creation only

    Setup of the plugin worked well, though manual upload was necessary as plugin is not supported in current version (6.9.4). Added API key and selected GPT 4o (v5 seemed to be missing in drop down). Was able to then access the AI chat in the page builder, and it was able to create a new block. Unfortunately it was not able to change any styling, access external website or any existing block, which really limits its use.

    Would be great to see:

    1. Ability to edit existing page content/blocks.
    2. Ability to adjust styling
    3. Able to access external pages to pull content to build pages.

    The initial version was minimal, aimed at quickly scaffolding blocks and hasn’t been updated in some time. The latest version however, includes several major updates. You can now add and edit any selected block, use GPT-5.4 or 5.5 with adjustable reasoning levels. It’s also aware of your theme’s design system. As long as your styles are defined in theme.json, it can apply those tokens automatically to your blocks. Please note that it’s optimized for Gutenberg block based themes, so it won’t read styles from custom CSS.     After updating, you may need to revisit the AI editor settings page and save your settings again so it can pick up the latest models and configuration changes.

    At the moment it doesn’t support web search, so it can’t pull content directly from sites. For now, content can be pasted manually (web search may be added in the future if there’s enough demand). AI behavior can vary depending on different themes and configurations.
