Regarding performance, we do make every effort to ensure minimal impact on performance. The Tags Site Kit places are the same as if places manually, so we always suggest running some tests to check the performance if added manually and then via Site Kit. Adding services such as Google Analytics, AdSense etc, will always have a small trade off with performance due to additional network requests, with or without Site Kit.
Out of curiosity are you finding the performance on your client sites slow on the front end, or are you referring to wp-admin? I’d be happy to assist with any queries regarding this. On the front end of a site, it’s possible you’re using the Site Kit admin toolbar feature, will does show data for the specific page being viewed. This feature , while only present for logged in administrators, could be something you’re seeing if running some checks.
