Support » Plugin: Jetpack by WordPress.com » Great features but missing the finishing touch

  • Jetpack in on one hand great. It offers features that should not be basically part of the WordPress core. In that way we love the statistics, custom css, sharing, CDN, and so on.

On the other hand we strongly miss the finishing touch. I.e. Jetpack offers an image widget, but the image widget is not connected to the media library. I manage to get the url by myself, but don’t understand the logic behind it. I also don’t understand why activating, deactivating and configuration of modules is so user unfriendly. Connection with WordPress.org, and so on.

So please continue developing the plugin and the modules. If the finishing touch is there we would certainly consider paying for a premium version.

Great idea! I took note of it in this trac ticket, and we’ll consider your suggestion for a future Jetpack update.

We’re aware of this issue. While the Jetpack menu interface worked well when there were only 8 modules, it has become more complicated to manage modules now that the list includes 26 of them. We’re working on it!
