Support » Plugin: Ecwid Ecommerce Shopping Cart » Great Customer Service

  • I have found the Ecwid Customer Service team to be very helpful. Over the past couple of months I’ve faced a number of problems which I needed assistance with, and they have done their best to attend promptly and provide a solution. One in particular which was an ongoing problem for weeks was a difficulty integrating Ecwid with RankMath SEO plugin. Their dev team came up with a solution to address this (which has been released today publicly), which is brilliant, since I was about to lose what little hair I have left!!!

The only thing I am still unsure about, and am not convinced has been addressed satisfactorily, is Ecwid’s use of multiple schema markup types per product. I’ve been told by the team that this is not a problem, but my research on Google Webmaster Forums indicates it might be otherwise. And page loading speed could be improved a lot as indicated by Page Speed Insights and Google Dev Performance.

Other than that, I am very happy with the assistance Ecwid have provided. Thank you!

    Hi Michael,

Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate it.

Regarding multiple schema markup formats: JSON-LD is recommended by Google these days, but we still add microdata so that your store pages can be recognized by other search engines as well e.g. Bing. Based on our research, at this moment there is no conflict between the two schema types, and products can be indexed by Google without a problem.

As for the page loading speed, we are working in this direction. We’ve added you to our mailing list associated with improvements that will be made to meet PageSpeed Insights requirements—as soon as there is an update we will let you know.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us via live chat or email.

    Stay safe and healthy!

    Thank you 🙂 Keep well!

    Michael.
