• This is a really great plugin, what I was looking for to make adding events easy for the clients who struggle with basic WordPress admin. I wanted a way for them to create a blog article, and if it coincided with an event, to add event details, then pull that data into an events page (as opposed to having a separate Events calendar plugin) It’s pretty great that it has Google calendar and ical integration.

    It needs a little finesse, as some of the translation into English has left me needing to go into the php and edit titles that the clients see. such as change ‘Event Datas’ to ‘Event Information’, and changing the interface design a bit (such as date and time opacity so it’s not invisible until you hover over it).

    I’d also like to be able to order the event list by date, with the newest first, and because support is French, I cannot find how to do this or if the plugin supports this. I’d also like it to use Google Maps rather than openmap, as openmap cannot find the addresses some of the time.

    Still, it’s great and I do recommend it.

    Hi,

    thank you for your review, and sorry for my english 😉

    I’ll try to answer :

    Some texts and UI have been changed since version 2.8.*, taking care of your comments. thank you.

    There is a sort parameter for the shortcode, I’ll add it into the readme.txt :
    'order'='ASC' or 'order'='DESC'
    a second attribute can be also used :
    'orderby'='post_title'

    The integration of caldav is in the roadmap, but it’s a big work, so I can’t announce any release date yet.

    But there is one point I’m sure : I won’t add any support for Google tools. I’m working hard to stop being chained by it, and trying to find free and open resources in communities.
    (Google calendars are also accessible via caldav).

    Do not hesitate to give me feedback !

    Great plugin! The ablility to turn a post into an event was exactly what I needed! Awesome! 🙂 BUT.. Unfortunately I have had to disable this plugin because of two major problems.
    1. An event with todays date will always be created when I add a new post, and I dont need events all the time.. just sometimes. I suggest having a checkbox or something that says e.g. ‘add event to this post’ or so.
    2. For some strange reason the plugin breaks the image editor in the media library. I can no longer crop images when this plugin is enabled.
    I really hope these problems can be fixed so I can use this plugin again because it’s great and I really need this functionality. 🙂
