    I’m a long-time Super Cache user, but I worked on a site where Super Cache didn’t work, so I tried this instead, and it works perfectly. I have one suggestion to the developer, please add this .htaccess directive: (I needed it to get jQuery.js gzipped after removing the version string with a filter)

    AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE text/x-javascript
