    Hi,

    I have just installed the TwentyTwelve theme and noticed there is a gray border around the site. I have created a child theme and I would like to make this border white.

    Here is my website: http://www.awavia.com

    On the twentytwelve theme page, it has some example blogs using the theme.

    http://raanan.com/ has the gray border
    http://christinetrevino.com/ does not have the gray border / has a white border

    How do I get the border white?

    Thank You

    In the style.css file change this:

    body {
    background-color: #e6e6e6;
    }

    to this

    body {
    background-color: white;
    }

    and under the body .site css remove this line:
    box-shadow: 0 2px 6px rgba(100, 100, 100, 0.3);

    without coding:

    goto:
    dahsboard – appearance – background and select a Background Color

    ps:
    you still need to remove the shadow style …

    Thanks for the tips. This worked in Firefox and Chrome. However when I view the site with IE 8 on XP, the gray border is still there. You can see the site at awavia.com

    possibly from /css/ie.css

    try setting the custom background to #ffffff under
    dashboard – appearance – background

    Great that works! Thank you for all the help.
