Gravity Forms Blocks wpDiscuz

    Good Day!

    Suddenly, when we activate Gravity Forms (plugin), wpDiscuz ceases to work. Instead, the standard WP comments format appears beneath our posts.

    As part of our troubleshooting efforts, we did the following:

    (1) Deactivated Cloudflare
    (2) Deactivated all plugins, except Gravity Forms and wpDiscuz.
    (3) Deleted all transients.
    (4) Cleared all cache.
    (5) Checked our console for errors (with both plugins activated). None found.

    Sample post provided. Very strange condition. Any idea what’s going on?

    A fix and/or additional troubleshooting procedures appreciated.

    Update:

    We found the problem. Upon deleting a plugin (WP Rocket) from our website, we inadvertently deleted a wpDiscuz term from our Options database table that got replaced by a Gravity Forms term. We restored our database from backup. Issue fixed.

    Update: (one more)

    Unfortunately, the issue resurfaced (even with WP Rocket deleted).

    We will troubleshoot this further and report back here.

    Meanwhile, if you can think of any possible reasons for this issue (or a fix, of course), please let us know.
