Graphene theme – Widget area on custom post page

  • Good afternoon all,

I am using the Graphene the version 1.6.2 on a site I am helping to develop http://www.lives.org.uk

I have a static front page and my post appear on the ‘news’ page using the default settings within wordpress.

The post page however picks up the default template selected in the theme settings rather than a template selected from the pages template option.

Is this a known issue that can be resolved?

    Any help would be great!
    Mike

Correct. That is the standard and correct behaviour. The main posts page will always use the index.php template file.

Is there a way to change which template file it uses??

No – that’s just how WordPress works.

    OK thanks

You can use a different template for a static front page with Graphene. Just edit the page and under “Page Attributes” choose a different template. I just tested it on my own site and it works fine.

Agreed but the OP wants to customise the main posts page.
