I’ve recently received this notification from a number of Facebook apps setup for various websites I’m involved in.

{APPNAME} has been making recent API calls to Graph API v2.0, which will reach the end of the 2-year deprecation window on Monday, August 8, 2016. Please migrate all calls to v2.1 or higher in order to avoid potential broken experiences.

Can you confirm that it’s OK to update to a more recent API version? And if so, what we should be looking at?

  • Hello,

I would like to add myself to this question. I too have this message.

All documents I found for you guys talk about API OAuth ver. 2.0.

Please note that I opened a ticket also.

That makes three of us. I got the same message from FB as well.

Same here. I wonder if we have to change the version or if this is part of the plugin author’s work?! If it is our part, how to do this?

    Thanks!

CHORG Nextscript has been making recent API calls to Graph API v2.0, which will reach the end of the 2-year deprecation window on Monday, August 8, 2016. Please migrate all calls to v2.1 or higher in order to avoid potential broken experiences.

We recommend using our new Graph API Upgrade Tool to see which of your calls are affected by this change as well as any replacement calls in newer versions. You can also use our changelog to see the full list of changes.

Plugin has support for all Graph APIs up to the latest version v2.6. So please don’t worry. Facebook will automatically update your apps to 2.1, but plugin will keep working.

    Thanks for the info!
