Gradient under a headline in a sidebar

  • Hi

I felt I kinda painted myself into a corner with a this theme creation.

I wanted to put a small strip of colour with a gradient under a headline of some sidebar titles. See attached graphic. http://cl.ly/1S331r442e2j2O1q3T3u

But then I realized that I might have an issue implementing that in the theme design.

    My options are:

    1. Use border bottom but I can’t apply a gradient to a border…

    2. Add a background image and have it just below the title…

    3. Create my own sidebar.php file in template and then add a div under each headline div.

I really don’t know the best way to go about this that will function well in all (modern) browsers…

Hoping the WordPress community can offer a suggestion of how to tackle this beast of my own creation…

Is this theme for a client?
Will he/she be changing these headings often?

If not, then I would go with the background image option.
You don’t need an extra div, just add the background image to the h3, h4, or whatever else you are using for your titles.

Thanks for the suggested direction Christine. Your always so helpful in these forums! 🙂

If I do have a problem and need more help I will post a link to the site I am working on.
