• brevo itself is leading, but the WordPress plugin has gotten worse with every update. This starts with the global enqueue of jQuery in the front end and continues with the global enqueue of wonderpush, even though it has not been activated. However, thanks to Brevo’s excellent developer documentation, you can code a solution according to your own requirements without this plugin. In my opinion, the plugin in its current version 3.3.2 should be completely refactored or removed immediately. this version no longer meets Brevo’s standards.

    Hello,

Thank you very much for taking the time to share such detailed and honest feedback — we truly appreciate it.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience with the WordPress plugin (v3.3.2). Your concerns regarding the global enqueue of jQuery on the front end and the loading of WonderPush assets even when not activated are completely valid points to raise. We understand how important performance optimization, clean asset loading, and adherence to WordPress best practices are, especially for developers.

It’s great to hear that our developer documentation has enabled you to build a custom integration tailored to your requirements. That’s exactly what we aim for: flexibility and full control when needed.

That said, your feedback about the plugin’s current architecture and standards is important. We’ve shared your comments internally with our product and engineering teams for review. Continuous improvement is a priority for us, and detailed input like yours helps us identify where refactoring or structural improvements may be necessary.

Thank you again for your transparency and for holding us to a high standard, we genuinely value that.

    Kind regards,

4 weeks later, and wonderpush is still being loaded by the Brevo plugin, even if it isn’t used for anything. Thank you for making our website worse!!
