    Got following error:

    Warning: Directory
/home/admin/domains/xn--znianje-fxb.si/public_html/wp-content//home/admin/domains/xn--znianje-fxb.si/public_html/wp-content/upready/ didn’t exist. Please create directory with permission 755 or 777 manually!”

    But directory is there!

    However it does not backup.
    What to do?

    I have permission 755 already …
And it does not allow me to save permission 777.

If you’ll notice, the document root is defined TWICE, I’m guessing someone goofed in the ready backup plugin code and now the plugin inserts the document root TWICE.

I have the exact same problem (document root repeats in this exact error message) across all 12 sites I’ve installed Ready Backup to. Can’t get it to back up to ANYTHING but DropBox…

How to fix would be a more useful response. And no, updating did not repair the problem. Deleting, and then reinstalling from a fresh copy off the wordpress plugin repository also did NOT repair the problem. It’s an unfixed bug, guys.

I had this exact problem. I changed the ‘upready’ folder from 755 to 777 and the problem went away. Try that!

The instructions should really tell you that 777 is mandatory. And for the guy who couldn’t change the permissions to 777, try taking ownership of the folder first. If you cannot change the owner to be yourself (and by yourself I mean the account you’re connected with via FTP), then delete the folder, make it again, make sure you are the owner (you will be), then change to 777.
