I have a WordPress blog site I wish to convert it to a fully supported domain with my domain name address. What to do (basic) please?

do you mean you are currently using WordPress.com?

register a domain and get a hosting account, then go to the Tool menu in your existing wordpress blog. Under Tool, you will find Export, use that to export your posts and other content and download that file. Once you have installed wordpress on your hosted account, go to Tool and use Import to import your files in that.

I have a domain name – it was running fine on my wordpress site – foolishly I went into my settings and changed it from .com to .co.uk – now my username and password wont let me get back in to correct it – I can’t get direct help from wordpress and so my domain title is lost in limbo – any suggestions please.

you should change the settings back to how there were previously. For an outline of how you can do this, see http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL
