Got a 500 internal Server Error , Problems with set up

Let me start by thanking anyone who can possibly help me in advance. I am brand new to this and am not sure what I am missing, I have followed the instructions to the letter but I think i need to explain everything i did to figure out what i did wrong.

I have a blog on my godaddy host account that someone else(this peson is no longer available to help) set up for me a couple of months ago with one particular domain.

That wordpress was installed in my root file on my host.
Well I attempted for several hours to create another blog on my same host account so i created a subfolder within that directory and ftp’d the new WP version up to it.

I created the database and I filled out the wp-config file as instructed and then entered the setup url, but an error came back once as restricted and the next time i did it came back as the error i listed above.

So by this point (1:30am)i removed the file once again and did the set up through metropolis on godaddy and everything seemed to go fine until i went to log in and I got the 500 internal error again.

So I am not sure if I am missing something on the install or if it is just as simple as I am not supposed to have two blogs with different domain names on the same host. Or maybe there was a way to start another blog that i didn’t realize while using a different domain name
