Support » Plugin: Smart Manager For WooCommerce – Stock Management, Bulk Edit & more... » Got 3 updates then had to get pro?????

  • I installed this plugin to update stock levels. That’s it. After I did 3 updates, the plugin told me I had to go to their premium plugin.

I really don’t like it when plugin developers use the WP repository as a way to get people to install their plugin when really it’s a premium/pro plugin that doesn’t work properly without payment. I don’t think that’s what the WP repository is for. It’s for free (Open Source) plugins not as a place to sell pro plugins.

Anyway, found another, genuinely free plugin that did exactly what I wanted with no limits.

    Hi there,

Thank you for trying out the Smart Manager plugin and taking out time to leave a review!

Smart Manager is a GPL (open source) plugin. Using the Lite (free) version, you can edit the entire store provided you save your changes after every three records. We have also mentioned the same on the Smart Manager WordPress.org page.

Apart from that, the Lite version also gives additional functionalities such as simple & advanced search, manage WooCommerce orders, coupons, and so on. Please give it a try if you haven’t.

You don’t have to upgrade to the Pro version if you are happy with the Lite version, the Lite version will always stay free.

Lastly, the WordPress repository does have a lot of Freemium plugins and Smart Manager Lite does add value even with its limited features.

Do let us know if you have any other questions or concerns at all, we would be happy to help.
