I installed the gostats plugin, but the gostats site says my code is wrong.

    The summary url
    http://gostats.com/summary.xml?id=712917

as you can see the id is there and I’ve entered that, but the part that is supposed to be in front of gostats like monster or c4 is missing so I left that field blank. If I look at the resulting code by viewing the source on the main page I see that under server there is a period in front of it. I don’t know much about php but tried removing the “.” from the echo gostats, that seemed to fix that part of the code but it still didn’t verify. Any help is appreciated.

    Hello,

It is safe to place c1 in the server-id box if there is no c* number in your url.

It is ok if your counter code doesn’t verify with the standard verification system. If you are accumulating hits on your summary screen or even in the lasts guests section, there is nothing to worry about. If you are not recording hits, try removing both the IP and cookie-based blocking of your PC.

Future updates of the GoStats for WordPress plug-in will correct the ambiguity with the server id box and the code verification failures.
