googlemaps shortcode ? (1 post)

Is Jetpack responsible for the automatic substitution of a Google Maps iframe embed code snippet by a shortcode in the form of [googlemaps https://maps.google.com/maps/ms... ] by any chance? I could not find any mention of it in the shortcode module (learn more) description but I did finally find it on http://en.support.wordpress.com/tag/shortcode/

This sudden substitution basically wrecked the layout of the map in the post because it used a 100% width which got translated to 100px.

Not a big issue as I learned that adding the % sign back to the w=100 parameter fixed it but there is another problem:

Below the map, there is the linked text "View Larger Map" automatically added. I do not want this. Or, if it must be there, at least in the sites native language (in my case French)...

Is this at all possible? Does the shorcode take other parameters that just the maps URL to control this?

    Thanks :)
