 * Hi, I’ve had trouble with two blogs located in separate subfolders in my website.
The first one didn’t really get any attention due to in part that it never (as
in NEVER) got crawled by Googlebot, although the rest of my site is. Now, I closed
that first blog thinking that I probably made a mistake, but the same thing is
happening with my new one. When I searched for it in Google, all it does is display
the URL, no title, no snippet, no nothing. This also happens in MSN’s search.
I have installed WordPress in top-level domains and have had no problems with
them with regards to crawling, in fact, they are doing quite well. So, does this
have something to do with being located in a subfolder (e.g. [http://www.domain.com/blog](http://www.domain.com/blog))?
My main suspect is the .htaccess file, since WordPress makes its own and I do
have another htaccess located in the root folder. What should I do to reconcile
both? Or am I barking at the wrong tree? Thanks in advance! 🙂

 * More than likely, you will have to ask Google for help. But, if you would kindly
supply us with a URL, we may be able to investigate the problem for you.

 * It’s gotta be linked to in order to get in the index. Also, anything in a subdirectory
gets ranked lower than something in a root directory. So, it’s quite possible
that either you aren’t well enough linked or, if it’s a brand new site that suddenly
popped up with lots of incoming links, you’re sandboxed.

 * Yes, of course it’s linked. The site in question is pretty well established,
with good PR on many pages. Even my message boards are picked up by the bot regularly.
It’s just these blogs that get ignored for a reason I don’t understand. I might
as well write Google about it and ask them to check it out. Do you guys think
it has something to do with htaccess? I know that mod rewrite can sometimes screw
   up some pages. Thanks again.

 * What is the PR of your unloved blog? On what topic?

 * Oh sorry. Here’s the URL: alleba.com/buzz … it used to be a static page that
I halted a few years back. It currently has a PR of 2 due to the sites that still
link to it up till now. As for its topic.. basically about what people are searching
for and I write about them. I appreciate any help on this matter.. thanks!

 * Try submitting a sitemap. It should help. Also check if you have any robots.txt
   with strange rules.
