# Google XML Sitemaps – Plugin

 * Wanted to ask and get a prompt answer regarding Google XML Sitemaps plugin. I’m
   currently using sitemap.xml which I generated from [http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/](http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/)
   since I have that on my WP blog site already do I need this google xml sitemaps
   plugin? Any replies/answers will be greatly appreciated.

 * Hi Andrew, thanks for the reply.
 * Well I had sitemaps.xml for a while now and google did process it and still does.
   I just wanted to know if its good idea to use the plug in or just leave the current
   one alone.

 * No reason to if google has the proper amount of pages indexed and isn’t showing
   any errors.

 * I do have one more question. I see some errors in google/webmastertools
 * I see crawl erros 6 under “not found” and fixed those pages. I fixed it and clicked
   on mark asfixed. is that how its done?
