[Google XML Sitemaps]Fatal error: Allowed memory..exhausted

  • Google xml sitemap is the latest version.
I got fatal error like:Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted, and I was told to increase the limited memory, and I did. Here are some information about memory usage:
    PHP Memory Limit: 128M
    WordPress Memory Limit: 96M
    Memory Usage Sampling: 28.39 MB
And I also increase the memory limit on the sitemap options page(96M). While, I still get the same error. Why? 96M is enough to create a sitemap.
    thanks very much.

  • The plugin author REALLY REALLY needs to address this memory problem. It consumes abnormal amounts of memory for just a few hundred URL:s.

The solution is NOT to increase PHP memory to 96 or 128 MB; 64 MB is sufficient in the extreme for everything else, but apparently not for a plugin whose only task is to write out a few URL:s…

Turning this plugin off for now. Believe it or not, memory isn’t an endless resource.
