# Google Workspace with WordPress

 * I’m looking to setup Google Workspace emailing with my WordPress mutlisite setup.
   I’m self-hosting on a Linode VPS. I tried to follow the instructions [here](https://butlerblog.com/easy-smtp-email-wordpress-wp_mail/)
   with no avail. I would ideally like to use SMTP relay if possible, which are 
   found [here](https://support.google.com/a/answer/176600?hl=en). Every guide I
   follow uses a payed plugin (WP Mail SMTP), but I’d prefer to set it up myself
   if possible.

 * To override WordPress’s built-in mailer and send messages through an external
   service, there _should_ be several non-paid options available in the plugin directory:

 * Maybe try out another plugin. Google Workspace should be compatible with several
   existing ones.
 * Please reach out to the plugin authors for additional setup support, since we
   can’t provide that here. The plugin directory has a support forum for each plugin,
   and they’re happy to help!
