    Hi there,

Our site has posts in different languages, the site language is English (United States). When I add the Google Translate (Jetpack) widget and open a post in a non-English language, I see a list of languages I can translate the post to, English is not one of them. How do I enable this?

    Thanks

Google Translate’s widget uses your site’s language, as defined by WordPress itself, and then offers you to translate content into other languages, from that language.

If your WordPress site language is set to English on all posts, even those written in a different language, the widget won’t know that those posts are in fact not written in English.

To work around this issue, you could try using a plugin like Polylang to create a full multilingual site.

If you would rather only set a different language on some of your posts, a plugin like this one may work:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/per-post-language/

    I hope this helps.
