You can either use the Group Name or you can apply a Custom Name which would apply to all testimonials. I have read the documentation in the Options and Testimonials section, the expanded Help tab of the plugin as well as on your site. As far as I can tell I have set everything up the way it’s supposed to be. If group acts as Google’s “Item” then it isn’t working because as I said each of the testimonials have been assigned to a group. Either that or something is missing in the documentation or I didn’t understand something. My understanding is that Google’s “Item” is for a product review so my question is if you have multiple products (in my case various vacation homes) and each one has their own name or group then is that causing the error with Google’s Item structured data? If that’s the case I would suspect I could rename them all to a single group and it should work. Well I changed them all to a single group “SunKiss Villas” but still had the same problem. In Google’s tool “Item” is blank which tells me that the group isn’t being seen by Google as “Item”. Hope that helps. This usually happens when the testimonial page is set up in visual mode instead of text mode and it can lead to unpredictable results. I also re-named the testimonials to a single group and re-ran the test on Google - same result. All testimonials have a "missing" item field error. Also, since I only have one testimonial on the home page with use of the widget I wouldn't think that I should have a problem with the home page but I also have the same problem despite the fact that all testimonials now have the same group name.
