Good morning! I am looking at our site using Google Webmaster and it is showing “errors” around structured data for all of our events over the last couple of years. The errors relate to missing data on an event: author, entry=title and updated. Google is using markup from microformats.org (I can’t really tell, as always, Google is very unclear). Anyway, when I run the Structured Data Test on Webmaster, the data that shows as missing (or potential data) includes and image, performer and offers. We could fix offers and images I think by adding them in although we don’t always have them. But there is no place in Events that I can find for a performer.

I’m not asking you to develop anything, just wondering if you have seen this before. It appears that the Structured Data is new and that the data is being used for Search Appearance and because we are missing so much data, it’s impacting placement.

Have you seen anything like this before?

  • Hey @cedaly1968, thanks for reaching out!

You know we have seen reports from time to time related to structured data. However, there’s nothing currently logged in our system regarding it, but if you provide some of those errors, we’d be happy to check them out!

    Thanks,
    Geoff
