Google Search results do not show my proper Site Title & Meta Description

    @jonathan_spectrecom

    Hi WordPress

    I need to know why my site – http://spectrecom.co.uk/ – won’t show up properly in the google search results.

    I am using the Yoast SEO plugin and have all the homepage Meta titles and descriptions in place – you can see this in the source code – but for some reason Google does not display my correct site title or any meta data

    The site is being re-directed from another webpage – could this be what is affecting Google?

    I have used Webmaster Tools try and force and index and I am getting nowhere

    Could anyone enlighten me?

    Thankyou

    Jonathan

    I’m not sure when it was exactly but i’m on 3.4.2

    Sorry, I meant when you created/updated your titles and descriptions.

    I have changed them in the past 24 hours but up until then they were probably the same for a few weeks

    I have just changed them again today – would it be best to as for an index with Webmaster again and then wait? Is there and approximate time for indexing?

    Thanks

    Looks like you just have to be patient. It could be minutes but could also be weeks. Having a sitemap and such may help but there’s no guarantee.

    From my experience, new sites don’t get indexed as frequently as new sites.
