Google search on a forum members name

  • When I search my name on google, all my threads are linked as search result number 2.
    Is this really necessary?

  • It’s a matter of SEO. Necessary? Yeah, because the better SEO for WordPress, the easier it is for people to find answers to their problems. If you want your own stuff higher on a search, work on their SEO 🙂

    ask google.

youve been posting on these forums for 10 months — its a little late for you to worry about a search engine actually doing whats it’s meant to do and spidering those pages (duh?), isnt it?

the wonderful irony is that this post will eventually get spidered too – “kjagen’s thread about googlebot spidering his name, which happens to be kjagen, in case you missed it the first time”.
