# Google reader shared default rss link problem

 * I am trying to get my blog: [http://www.londoncyclist.co.uk/](http://www.londoncyclist.co.uk/)
   to simply display my google shared items, so using the default rss feed widget
   that comes with wordpress I entered the google reader shared items address (its
   an atom feed) but the links keep coming up as:
 * [http://www.address.com/article/http://www.address.com](http://www.address.com/article/http://www.address.com)
   
   Rather than: [http://www.address.com/article/](http://www.address.com/article/)
 * It is adding the website address in again to the end?
 * For example: see the blog under news feed.

 * Right, I have a solution to this problem:
    1. Use feedburner and put your google
   reader shared items feed address i.e. [http://www.google.com/reader/public/atom/user/03282779331329411199/state/com.google/broadcast](http://www.google.com/reader/public/atom/user/03282779331329411199/state/com.google/broadcast)
   2. Then go to Optimise > Convert Format choosing RSS 2.0 or 1.0 whatever floats
   your boat 3. Use the new feed url that is generated by feedburner in the RSS 
   Widget feed address bit.
 * The only reason you need this workaround is because the RSS default widget doesn’t
   support Atom.

 * Just wanted to say that it was of use to me.
 * Your workaround worked perfectly and easily and given what else I’ve read on 
   the board, your solution may be the simplest way to get it going (other than 
   using the default google reader html code that google provides).
