• It appears that Google PageSpeed is incorrectly reporting the image size being delivered via the RICG Responsive Images Plugin. It appears to be reporting that the full sized image is being delivered, when in fact a smaller image is being delivered. This only appears to be a problem with images delivered via the Add Media function and not Featured Images.

    Is this a problem?
Yes, Google bases page ranking depending on how fast pages are served. If Google think you are serving up huge images, thus slowing down the page, the page will rank lower in the results.

    Example information in Google PageSpeed:
http://www.gojapango.com/…/IMG_0811.jpg is resized in HTML or CSS from 2091×3136 to 619×928. Serving a scaled image could save 836.3KiB (91% reduction).
