Google Page Speed-Fast theme for Home Page?

    I use DIVI to create my own websites. I know that Google is changing its ranking system early next year and with divi I cannot get mobile “largest contentful paint” below 4.5 secs I have even changed to a cloud server, installed critical CSS, only have 4 plugins, NGINX VARNISH CDN (on Sucuri Firewall) tiny images…. I can see that a competitor gets 2.4secs for LCP on mobile. So I think the only option is to have a faster theme for the home page.
    If I built the whole site in divi and then specify that the home page is some fast theme would that work or will it still be slow because I have built it in Divi?

    I suppose I could build the home page in a faster theme having built the rest of the site first in divi-presumably the home page would be fast then?

    Eventually many many people will need this plugin for Google ranking.

    Google’s Pagespeed tool is not a reliable measure of your site’s load time. I would look for something else to do your page speed testing. However, the Google pagespeed tool can be helpful in giving you some pointers on potential fixes to decrease loading time.

    As for the fastest theme, the only thing I can tell you is that the fewer HTTP requests it generates and the smaller your javascript and css files are (minified), the more it makes Google happy.
