[Resolved] Google not landing me at intented home page

  • I am 75% finished with my static wordpress site.My homepage is static.Just out of curiosity i googled my address in and instead of landing on my intended “Home” page,i landed on a comments section-The “Hello world” one,I dont want that.Ive since trawled through others people similar problems and deleted something in the comments section(sorry but im not sure-i moved the comment “hello world” to thrash) and now the comments page that im landing on(that i dont want) is saying “

    I am using the twenty twelve.Im kicking myself for not asking here first.I just want a goggle search to land on my “intented homepage”

    PS when i type my url into the address bar it goes straight to my intented homepage…i dont get it

  • If you’ve only just deleted it, Google will take a while to catch up.

    I would delete both the Hello World blog post and the comment completely.

    But you had the site set up for a little while with the default page, which is a feed with Hello World, yes?

    Google will catch up shortly. It didn’t get where it is today by showing people dead pages. Be patient 😉
