[Resolved] Google maps ruins sidebar – IE6 only

  • I wonder if anyone could suggest a fix for my problem which only appears in IE6?

Problem page: Tennis Club – Location

I have a simple Google map inserted into a page (<iframe width=”480″ height=”400″ … etc), which works fine, with one exception…

The sidebar search & comments now appear at a level below where the map finishes. It seems that there is a /div missing or something similar but I can’t for the life of me find the problem.

Working fine in IE7, Firefox, Chrome, Safari

    Any ideas?

    Much Appreciated

If you search here on “fallen sidebar” you’ll find the most common reason for it is that your map is too wide for the content area (and widths are a bit “different” in IE6).

You might try either making the content area wider or your map’s iframe narrower and see how that works.

    Brilliant Chris!

    Thank You!!

In the end it was just a simple matter of being 10px too wide.

    Great stuff – Really appreciated

    🙂
