Swapped to Open Street Map – same issue! Seems to be a problem with the plugin not with the mapping type.

In fact Open Street Maps has a different issue – For Banbury Priory 10 Main Street Benburb BT71 7JZ it arbitrarily picks up the street address and goes to a map in the US somewhere and doesn’t rest when you put in Post Code etc.

OK managed to fool it into getting it right in Open Street Maps – there is clearly a problem with the plugin. I had to put in the town first not the street address then the other details and it then worked – not impressed. I’ll trey the same with Google next.

I too am having problems with map display
OpenStreet always want to choose Birmingham Alabama as opposed to Birmingham UK. I suspect that is open map issue.
Needed map to show so now using googleMaps.
Dont like the register card and charging setup it is not easy to setup.
Old site works fine with googlemaps
new site map shows map in editor but not on page. Editor map is not greyed out so API key is valid.
what might the problem be? I have copied template files to theme folder and settings is default on template usage

I have solved my problem. I had disabled jQuery, which is needed for authentication of google maps API key

Swapping from GoogleMaps to Openstreetmap not possible.

    Validation opens :
    http://docs.wp-event-organiser.com/theme-integration/
    but no effect

Don’t want to delete all events with reinstall !
