Google Maps Not Displaying Under Venue

    Help!

    Google Maps displays this:
    Oops! Something went wrong.
    This page didn’t load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details.

    It’s all the venues for all the events. Even when I try to add another venue, that message pops up.

    Hi,

    This is because you do not have a (valid) Google Maps Key. In your console you have the following error message:

    Google Maps JavaScript API error: InvalidKeyMapError
    https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#invalid-map-key-error

    Alternatively, the latest version of Event Organiser comes with OpenStreetMap as an alternative to Google Maps, and does not require an API key

    I have the API for Google Maps plugin installed and do not see any errors.

    I didn’t realize there was an alternative. I enabled it and see OpenStreetMap looks and works great.

    Ever since Google switched over to this API pain, it’s been a bear to setup and then maintain.
