 * I have been trying to get the google maps api integration to work correctly in
the WP admin, but the browser console (chrome) continues to show an error when
inputing a new location. The maps embed api appears to be working correctly (
even shows the request data in the GCP dashboard for the embed requests). I have
a billing account associated to the GCP project, have tried disabling and re-
enabling the maps api services, and have also tried creating a new API key.
 * The errors in the browser console when the page to add a new event or add a new
   location:
Google Maps JavaScript API warning: NoApiKeys [https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#no-api-keys](https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#no-api-keys)
Google Maps JavaScript API warning: InvalidKey [https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#invalid-key](https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#invalid-key)
 * Very confused since the embeds are working with the same API key. Has anyone
found a solution when this happens?
 * Thanks in advance.

 * just to confirm, did you already followed each steps from this tutorial – [https://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/google-maps/api-key/](https://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/google-maps/api-key/)?
it seems everything working fine on our test sites at the moment.

 * I have all 5 libraries enabled for my account. The Map Embed API shows requests
when existing events are loaded on my webpage and a few requests have been logged
for the Map Javascript API, but nearly enough to reflect actual usage.
 * When I’m inputing the address for a location, either as a new location or on
a new event, I continue to get a “Location Not Found” message in the UI where
the map should be and this error is still present in the console, even though
the Maps Javascript API is enabled:
 * Geocoding Service: You must use an API key to authenticate each request to Google
Maps Platform APIs. For additional information, please refer to [http://g.co/dev/maps-no-account](http://g.co/dev/maps-no-account)
For more information on authentication and Google Maps JavaScript API services

 * If you are looking for an alternative that is simple and does work:

 * I solved it. Turns out when creating and editing an event or location the events
plug-in is using the API key from the Divi theme settings and not the plug-in
settings. So when using Divi, the Google API key needs to be in both settings
in order for this plug-in to work correctly.
