 * I see this error: “Google Maps API error: MissingKeyMapError”
    [http://um-sposa.com/?page_id=5966](http://um-sposa.com/?page_id=5966)
   I’ve already added my API key in advenced settings.

 * Hi there.
 * On 22 June 2016 Google Geo Developers announced that Google Maps no longer supports
   keyless access to their API and that all API calls must now contain an API key.
 * This means that all new and existing users of WP Google Maps will now have to
   register on the Google API console in order to get a Google Maps Javascript API
   key. In the past, Google Maps allowed you to display a map without an API key
   but unfortunately from now on this will not be possible.
 * There are no costs involved with creating an API key however, as it has been
   in the past, you will be limited to 25 000 map requests per day.
 * For full documentation on how to create this API key, please visit [http://www.wpgmaps.com/documentation/creating-a-google-maps-api-key](http://www.wpgmaps.com/documentation/creating-a-google-maps-api-key)
   or watch the video tutorial on Youtube ([https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OH98za14LNg](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OH98za14LNg))
 * I hope the above helps?
 * Should you require assistance with the Pro version though, please get in touch
   with us directly on [http://www.wpgmaps.com/contact-us/](http://www.wpgmaps.com/contact-us/)
   as these forums only support the basic version of our plugin 🙂

 * [@jarryd-long](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jarryd-long/) I don’t think
   that’s the issue here
 * as [@soseul](https://wordpress.org/support/users/soseul/) was saying:
 * > I see this error: “Google Maps API error: MissingKeyMapError”
 * > I’ve already added my API key in advenced settings.
 * I’m getting a similar issue at the moment, I’m suspecting this may be due to
   file permissions… but if that were the case, I’d expect to have problems with
   other website functionality.
 * I’ve tried creating a new API key, too.

 * Not sure what I’ve done – but I think I’ve found a solution (to my problem, at
   least)
 * The plugin will prompt anyone logged into the dashboard / plugin settings to
   save an API key, but this form was buggy for me.
 * The API key only updated successfully after:
    - openingMaps > Settings > Advanced
    - entering your API key
    - clicking save
 * Since you’ve tried this already, I’d double check that your API key was enabled
   correctly.
 * If you’re still having trouble, possibly worth removing / re-installing the plugin
   entirely.

 * Thanks for the clarification [@risingfunk](https://wordpress.org/support/users/risingfunk/)
 * As you said, the plugin will prompt you to enter an API key, as the Google Maps
   API will no longer display a map without one.
 * Just to confirm, your maps are working as expected now without any issues?

 * Hi [@kaceofgeminis](https://wordpress.org/support/users/kaceofgeminis/)
 * The Google Maps API seems to be returning the error ‘RefererNotAllowedMapError’.
 * To fix this, please login to your Google Developer Console and ensure the following
   two domains are entered under ‘HTTP Referrers’
 * *.nrscommunications.com/*
    *nrscommunications.com/*
 * Does this help?
