Could it be you upgraded to 3.6 along with 5.5.1? If so, rolling back won’t help.

Since WP 3.6 the most common problem people experience is themes having outdated js which breaks other plugins like ours which uses JS to load things like maps.

Also might be worth updating to the dev version 5.5.1.1

Thanks, Marcus – Upgrades were indeed done at the same time but haven’t seen any other issues with 3.6 and upgrading to 5.5.1.1 hasn’t helped.
The theme is outdated but we can’t change it so I’ll use manual links to Google maps where needed until/if it is resolved.

maybe you can ask your theme provider if they have an easy fixed for this.

you can test this theory out by live-previewing the default wp theme and see if maps work, otherwise it could also be another plugin.

Angelo – Theme was customised and developer has disappeared so can’t make updates 🙁

Marcus – I tried Live Previews with Twenty Thirteen but this only seems to work on the Home Page, others seem to appear with our theme and maps not loading.

I wonder if this could be a PHP issue?
We have Exec-PHP Plugin installed but I see it hasn’t been updated for some time now.

I doubt Exec-PHP is causing problems but it won’t do any harm to update it, just in case.

If you click the Live Preview link on the WP admin Themes page, you should be able to click links within the preview pane to preview other pages of your site with that theme.

No, the preview of the second level pages is the original theme only.
Maybe this is pointing to issues with the theme itself?

I think it could be. I’m using the default theme on my test site and I’ll able to click through to secondary pages. Pretty sure that’s the correct behavior.

I installed a jQuery Updater Plugin and, while it didn’t seem to do anything, the Maps are now displaying again!
