Google Local Products Inventory feed empty

I created a Google Local Products Inventory feed, including variations, just like my main product feed.

The store ID and quantity fields are static, so I not mapped them, and added a prefix. The product ID and price were mapped to the default fields.

I left the category map blank, because this feed doesn’t contain categories.

There was nothing in the feed by the header row.

So I mapped the store ID and quantity to valid fields and regenerated. No products.

I can’t find a guide for local product inventory feeds. How do I debug/fix this?

Please see this blog post:

When you have only one store to add you can just fill in a single store code with a | behind it. For example: 3085|

So make sure you added a pipe behind your store code. That should solve the issue at hand.

Thanks for that. I’ve found the “static value” option and entered static values for the store ID and quantity fields.

Regenerated.

Nothing. Only a header.

What now?

No. I only have one store.

Please fill in a pipe behind the store code, even when you have one store.

When you have only one store to add you can just fill in a single store code with a | behind it. For example: 3085|

It would be good not to require the closing “|” from a user experience point of view.

Hello,
I am also unable to generate the Local Inventory file. I have added the pipe after the store code but when I check the XML file, it says the following:

error on line 9 at column 18: Specification mandates value for attribute code

Hi,

That is because you are creating a XML file it seems. Make sure you use TXT as file format.

Great. I am now able to generate TXT file. Thanks for your prompt response.

PS: Google now accepts XML files for Local Inventory. Will you be updating your plugin accordingly?
