Google is showing my WP username

    Question:

    Why is google showing my WP username as my Website title?

    Google shows (bold tekst is my WP username)

    de_knoest: De Knoest Tilburg

    I’ve been trying to remove my WP username via Yoast and via settings, but i didn’t manage to remove it. Does someone know what i’m doing wrong?

    I would like to remove the bold part… = WP username

    Have you tried:
    – deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP.
    – switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Sixteen, etc.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
