I want to buy the premium version, but before i want to now why my meta description is not the same in google as in the plugin in WordPress.
Google is not grabbing the Yoast SEO, it is just grabbing from the page which does not have the proper SEO title, meta description etc. (except my frontpage)

    My website is http://www.hoejholthudpleje.dk

I have follow the guide and done every things right.

    Hi @alexanderkryger,

We’ve inspected your page’s source and can confirm that Yoast SEO is outputting the correct meta description:
<meta name="description" content="Hos Højholt Hudpleje er vores mål er at gøre din voksbehandling så effektiv og nænsom som overhovedet muligt."/>

That being said, there are multiple reasons why Google may display the wrong meta description.

There is no way to say for sure what is the exact reason why Google is displaying a different meta description, it may simply ignore it if it does not consider it a good fit and replace it with a text snippet from the page. If this is the case, you may want to write a longer and better meta description.

You can refer to this guide on how to write good meta descriptions.

    Thank you for the response!

What is your experience with how long it takes for google to change the meta description? I think it’s about 5 days since I changed the meta and can see some of them have changed, about 5 pages. I still need 10 more pages to be changed. Maybe it takes longer time for google to change? And i should give it some more time, before I try to write a longer and better meta description?

There is no way to determine exactly how long it takes for Google to update its index of a given URL, this depends on many factors (one of which is the popularity of your website/URL).

As a general guideline, we’d recommend waiting for up to 2 weeks before making any changes to your meta description.

Additionally, you may want to try to fetch that URL as Googlebot and request indexing too, that may speed things up.
