  • Hello to all,

Since the mid of December i faced a drop in organic serps, along with this weird phenomenon – of Google indexing the wrong title tag for my website

There where no black hat link building strategies taken on board, neither practices that do not comply with google’s guidelines.

Robots.txt, .htaccess all checked, webmaster tools shows everything in place, viewing the website’s source code still the same, but when you do site: or info: the indexed title is wrong.

Is this is a bug or is it something i have done? I have read many posts in different forums but cannot figure out why this might happen!

Many thanks to all in advance!

  • Explore the configuration options in the All in One SEO Pack plugin to see if there are any conflicts between the title you want to see -vs- the title actually being indexed.

Thanks for your answer James! I just set it to ignore the wp_title and read the title solely from the plugin. Fingers crossed it does the magic! Cheers!

I hope that does the trick, good luck!

Cheers, i’m afraid still no progress, title tag is wrong, definitely google’s bug, do you know how i can send a report about this? Webmaster does not allow me to send anything as the site has not been sandboxed or any penalties have been applied. Thanks James
