 * i have single event map format as so

 * google seems to ignore this and take the first selection of words from event 
   which is the title FB like button and map, rather than content of event or meta
   tag. maybe it needs to crawl again to work it out, maybe put **event notes first**??

 * You can’t force what Google will show or not show in search results snippets.
   The meta description is only a guide. Most of the time, it forms its own snippet
   based on the actual content of the page.

 * didn’t realize you use AIO SEO, they’re very good as well and should work.
 * may be worth adding some info above what’s getting indexed.
 * example, google “events manager neil young”, first two results are us.
