Google : Empty sitemap xml

    Hi, I’ve a huge problem.

    Google in search console, notice me that sitemap is empty when I insert it.

    I have been using your plugin for many years but it is the first time that I get a warning like this. I normally generated the sidebar, checked the validity on online sites but google says it is empty. I reset all values ​​to default.

    @matteomangia2 I checked your sitemap and it’s definitely not empty so the error message returned by Google Search Console is false. This can occasionally happen with that report so try removing and re-adding the sitemap again.

    Hi, thank you for your reply, but i don’t think it’s solved. I tried to insert the sitemap again on the search console but unfortunately the error persists.

    I don’t really understand what the problem might be.

    I see your problem. You set up your GSC site as HTTP when your site is HTTPS. You need to add your site again in GSC as HTTPS and verify it. Otherwise, if you don’t, you’ll get bad data in your reports because all search traffic goes to the HTTPS site.

    I tried to load the sitemap in https but I have the same error.

    Yeah because Google won’t allow you to do that. You must addd your site to Google Search Console with the correct protocol, i.e. HTTPS

    EDIT: i’ve resolve. The problem was the plugin All In One WP Security, but i don’t yet understand what is the features that block load of the sitemap
